SAC Bates was hopeful that if we could identify the music, contact of various radio stations might disclose a particular station whose "4:40 P.M., log would show playing of this particular tune at a given time during the period of time between submission of the first and second tapes. He pointed out that it might be possible,depending on the station identified and its range, to predict a relatively confined Geographical range in which the recording was made.
