° 2 SF 7-855 LJP/1b was asking about the safe and the money he kicked WEED repeatedly in the face. WEED was kicked by this person who was wearing boots that appeared to be construction-type boots of a medium brown color. WEED advised that he - believes he would have remembered distinctly had these _ boots been of the mod-fashion type or had they been Army . boots. WEED recalled that the boots were the lace-up " type with a high top, but worn under the trousers and could have possibly been of the hiking variety. ; As WEED was forced to the floor and while he was being kicked, PATRICIA HEARST was taken by the unidentified white female and the other unidentified individual into the kitchen. WEED was able to observe HEARST only partially - as she was lying under the sink in the kitchen. He was also able to partially Sbserve these two individuals as they were apparently binding PATRICIA HEARST. WEED Stated | that he is unsure of exactly what was taking place in the kitchen due to his blurred vision from being kicked in the face; however, he is sure that there were two people in the kitchen at this time. WEED did not hear any names . mentioned whatsoever either regarding the unidentified . individuals in his apartment or concerning HEARST or himself. WEED did not hear any specific commands, demands or utterances coming from the kitchen but was able to hear HEARST. whimpering or crying. - ' The first unidentified Negro male began tying. WEED's hands behind his back and made a statement to WEED to. the effect that he (WEED) should be quiet or he would be ‘mocked out. Almost immediately after his hands were tied, he was struck on the head three or four times with what he later learned to be a wine bottle. WEED stated that with each successive blow he received he felt his head being crushed, but knew it was with a blunt instrument of some _ Kind. It was at this time that WEED noticed through his . --front door, which had been open, his neighbor across the hall, STEVEN, an Oriental maie, being dragged into-his, ‘WEED's, apartment. WEED stated that STEVEN was thrown down between his, WEED's, leg. WEED stated that at this | point he began to fear for his life, so he pretended to pass out, It was at this time that WEED was struck violently again in the back of the head by what he believed to be. 4 EE ee Na ta ak PS ER ATR ee PE a Ra ST TEL, B35 4 .
