WEED recalled that several neighbors attempted to get him to lie down; however, one of these unidentified neighbors helped him back to his apartment where he related to the Berkeley Police Officers, who were already present in his apartnent, what had taken place. | WEED, in recalling certain particular moments during the assault which took place in his apartment, stated he thought he had observed two rifles. He could not recall anything further concerning weapons. He stated that the general atmosphere of the assault was one of a commando-type ‘action, well planned, deliberate, disciplined, with no second thoughts. WEED stated that the first unidentified Negro male was from the outset.one with whom you would not ask for sympathy, nor one with whom a person would attempt . to reason.
