He had just come from the Co-op Store at 1515 Shattuck Avenue, where he had purchased two sacksof food. He was dressed in his jogging clothes and army jacket _ as he had been running earlier in the evening. 7 _, When he got out of the car he reached back in to ge the bags of groceries. He took them from the car and had his car keys in one hand. He begen walking towards his resi- dence when a female came running up at him from behind. She shoved a gun near his face to one side where he could see it and said words to the effect, "Give me your car keys. We want your car, not you." . At about this time, another girl also came up. A blond male was also along side and he said words to calm the situation and to get BENENSON in the car. He had a longer parreled gun than the pistol carried by the girl sticking out from his coat and BENENSON noted holes along the side of the barrel. One of the girls hit BENENSON a few times on .top of the head with a heavy instrument, but the blows did not hurt him badly. He relinquished his car keys and got into the back seat of the car where he was pound, gagged, and blind- folded. He was hit once or twice again during this period and believes it was the girl who first accosted him who did the binding and who took his glasses off before blindfolding him. _ He gescribed her as a caucasian female, in her 20s, 5' to 5% 2", medium puild, not heavy, dark hair and having a slight Southern accent. She is referred to hereinafter as Female Number 1.
