The other female was described by BENENSON as a
caucasian, in her 20s, bionde hair, 5' 4, worn drawn
back, with no other notable traits or features. She is
referred to hereinafter as Female Number 2.
The male observed by BENENSON as the three accosted
him was 2 caucasian, about 6' tall, in his 20s, having blonde
.hair, fairly short and lying flat on his head. He had no
other notable traits or features. .
These were the only people observed by BENENSON, |
He later heard a voice which he believes to be that of a
Negro male, but did not observe any Negros in the group.
He noted that the darkness and brevity of exposure prevented
his getting a’ good look at any of the participants.
_ When the group got BENENSON in the car, they made
him lie upon the back floor with his head down. Two persons
believed by BENENSON to be a man and woman (the woman being
Female Number 1) were with him in the back. There were two
or three people in the front seat.
‘hey drove off in the car and proceeded for. what
BENENSON believes was only a few blocks. There they sto ped
and loaded something into the car. One (if not the only
item placed in the car was a long box, probably metal, which
was about the length of a guitar case, It was originally
placed into the boot in which the convertible top is lowered,
but it was later placed atop BENENSON. BENENSON recalls one
person in the car. referring to the item as a guitar case,
but he feels it was not a guitar case. | BENENSON also recalled
thet the location of Josephine and Vine Streets (a site
only a few blocks from his residence) was mentioned by
someone in the car and he is of the impression that this is
where they stopped and loaded something into the cer. |
During the next period of time which BENENSON
felt was about 20 minutes, the car drove around various
_streets which were not recognizable to him because of his
sightless situation. The person driving the car did not
appear to be acquainted with the Berkeley area. This personws gym
