Present during the conversation, with JOHN JOSEPH SCOTT, was his wife LOUISE SCOTT, who invited the interviewing Agents into his apartment and furnished the following information: ; . SCOTT stated that he had just been involved in a heated argument with a Mexican tenant over a refund of an apart- ment deposit. Concerning his son JACK, SCOTT advised that his son JACK was present in this apartment on Wednesday, February 26, 1975, when the interviewing Agents served the GrandJury subpoena. When asked why he didn't mention the presence of his son in the apartment at the time, SCOTT stated that "you didn't ask me," SCOTT explained that his son JACK had unexpectedly arrived in Las Vegas, On Wednesday, and departed that same evening to an unknown destination. SCOTT stated that his son JACK lectures extensively throughout the country concerning drugs and sports and they never know when he might stop in Las Vegas to visit them. SCOTT stated that he assumed that his son JACK and JACK's wife would be in Portland, Oregon, at BILL WALTON's residence, Concerning any trip that he and his wife LOUISE made in the late summer or early fall while Living at 6400 Casada Way, Las Vegas, SCOTT stated that he dic make a trip “not in September," to San Francisco to see his doctor, a Doctor IVERSON (phonetic). SCOTT stated that he formerly worked at -. the Clay Jones Hotel in San Francisco, and had two “free falls" - in an elevator as a result of cable failure in 1970, and 1971. * SCOTT explained that he received a prescription for Codeine from Doctor IVERSON, which Las Vegas pharmacists would not fill, because it was written by an out of state Doctor. When questioned concerning the exact date or time of his visit to San Francisco, SCOTT stated that he would save that for the Grand Jury appearance. SCOTT advised that he intended to appear before the Federal Grand Jury and that he inteuded to testify truthfully since he had nothing to hide.
