In order to facilitate this collection he, from time to time, attends gun shows in various parts of California for the purpose of selling and/or trading weapons. In this regard ecvised he remembers attending a gun spow at the San eo, california, ae, fairgrounds in Febru -3. 1973 sponsored by an Jf individual known as a gun collector from the pfs}: San Mateo area, Th mea table at the gun show was , _{P § $15.00. said he had approximately 25 to 30 weapons / | on display for sale and/or trade and that he specifically remembers on the Saturday of the show in the late afternoon being approached by a young girl wearing a field jacket. The girl he remembered as having short ight brown hair and walking directly to his table and purchasing a 30 caliber carbine manufactured by the Winchester Company for $85.00 cash. said he thought this to be unusual at the time as most people browse through gun shows and “dicker’’ with respect to the sale price and at least examine the gun before urchase which he does not remember the girl doing. As is is practice he would have obtained her driver's license number and data therefrom but stated he cannot locate this record after an extensive search of his files. Gas «:: asked if he would make available his records of purchase for the pertinent period and he refused stating he did not feel it was the FBI's business to whom he sold guns. When asked how he specifically remembered the sale he stated he remembered due to his home having been burglarized on the weekend of the sale and the fact that his wife had to return to Los Angeles by Sunday morning.
