1 LAR 7~1627 . JIM§inme/ jah The following investigation was conducted by Ey +> On June 10, 1974, discussion was had with Assistant U. S. Attorney (AUSA) ROBERT L. BROSIO and AUSA ARTHUR W. VANCE, JR., Los Angeles, California, with regard to issuance of the subpoena to WILLIAM LEWIS, ‘Monuger, Radio Station KPFK - IM, 3729 Cahvenzga Boule- vard West, Hollywood, Californias, concerning the SLA tape allegedly received by the station on June 7, 1974. Discussion was also had with regard to the earlier receipt by the station of a copy of a three-page “communi que" received from the Weather Underground wherein information was set forth that the Weather Underground had bombed the offices of the California Attorney Ceneral CVELLE YOUNGER on May 31, 1974, in solidarity with the SLA. r AUSA VANCE imuodiakely took this matter up with the Department of Justice and authorization was received to issue a subpoena duces tecum to WILLTAM LEWIS. 120 5 OOM RRR eos i : ni in aiate a Tero ———
