When WALTER arrived at the apartment, he was intro- duced to everyone including the persons he later believed Were actually PATILY HEARST and EMILY and WILLIAM HARRIS, At this time, WALTER was in no way aware of thoir true identities and had very little interest in them. This lack of interest was because he was trying to get money from his Parents or JACK to go visit a gtrl in Washington, D.C. He. remained at the apartment for a period of two to three hours and during. this time was engaged primarily in conversations with his parents and JACK and phone calls he was making to arrange for future travel, . so . WALTER described tha person he now believes was WILLIAM HARRIS as a white male, 6 feet tall, 175 pounds, with very short reddish blond hair and no mustache. The person he now believes is identical with PATRICIA HEARST was a white female, 5'2" or 5'3" tall, very slender, with very short hair, possibly 1%" or 2" long. She was desoribed in a very demure fashion’ so thet WALTER got the impression she was only about 1§ years old, WALTER was shown at this point rhotographs of PATRICIA HEARST and WILLIAM and EMILY HARRIS, WALTER stated that he could not make an identifioca- tion from the photograph of HEARST and made the statement that, "If you had to identify her from that photograph, you probably couldn't do it." WALTER further advised that he can- not positively say that the photograph of WILLIAM HARRIS is “identical to the person he saw in the apartment. He feals, however, that there is a strong possibility this person was WILLIAM HARRIS, .
