She is also a Suspect in the radical bombing matters involving Jack Scott in the San Francisco area. . b?LY ‘Purther, a scent dog, which has been used successfully in past investigative efforts, developed a positive scent of Patricia Hearst in the ‘Living room and one of the bedrooms of this farm). 9, Jack Scott told source he took Patricia Hearst to a motel near to his parent's residGence on 9/27/74, and that "“peopie" arrived in a vehicle from Berkeley, California, and returned Patricia Hearst to that area. Source is unaware of these fugitives’ present whereabouts. {Under investigation). 10. Jack Scott told source that Philip Schinnick, a former Olympic broad jumper drove the Harrises across the country. (Under investigation). ACTION: On an expedite basis we are conducting discreet investigation which includes obtaining background information on every individual identified by this source as well as utility and telephone toll records and similar data concerning them which is being programed, evaluated and coordinated wita the Computer Systems Division in an effort to isolate residences which could house the remaining Hearnap fugitives. At this point we are not conducting interviews or related, open inguiries which would disclose Walter Joseph Scott as our source. However, a more direct approach will be immediately implemented when the General Investigative Division fully evaluates the information being rapidly developed with careful consideration being directed toward further’use of Walter Joseph Scott. re - “ f a of. q We
