RE: HEARNAP:;
JREAU FILES: Our files reveal Jack Scott was the subject sof
San Francisco Antiriot Law case in 1969 as well as beings
suspect in several radical bombing matters in that Division.
Additionally, the files reveal Scott and his common-law wife,
Beverly Ann Scott, were identified as individuals traveling
to Cuba during December, 1973, in an Internal Security
investigation originating out of the Cleveland Division.
File reviews pertaining to various individuals cited in this
memorandum continue.
DETAILS: The following represents key elements of a statement
given by Walter Joseph Scott to Agents of the Philadelphia ,
Office after he came forward on 2/2/75, and admitted he was
the above anonymous caller. Walter Scott also revealed that *
he is the brother of Jack Scott. ®

Walter Joseph Scott gave his reasons for divulging
this information in that he was disgusted with the radical
life style of his brother, and he was deeply concerned for
the welfare of his parents who have become enmeshed in this
apparent criminal activity.
Walter Joseph Scott {identified as source hereinafter)
stated:
l. Jack Scott told source during last week of
June, 1974, he drove Patricia Hearst to the East Coast from
Berkeley, California. (Unverified).
2. Jack Scott indicated to source he made several
trips from Berkeley, California, to a motel, name and location
unknown, in New York State just north of New York City.
(Under investigation),
3. Jack Scott told source he, himself, drove the
Harrises and Hearst on separate cross-country trips. (Under
investigation). ,
