af Memorandum O'Connell to Gebhardt Re: HEARNAP;: — i 4. Source advised parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Scott ~ Las Vegas, Nevada, revealed that on 6/20/74, they received a call from their son, Jack Scott, requesting a favor and as a result traveled to a motel near the Berkeley campus of the University of California. Source's parents advised through a system of knocks they were admitted to the motel and learned of Patricia Hearst's presence therein. Source’s parents arove Patricia Hearst and Jack Scott to Mt. Pocono, Pennsylvania, on or about 6/28/74. The parents also advised Emily Harris -came to that motel in a seven- or eight-year-old tan Volkswagen, and all individuals proceeded to Jack Scott's apartment at 317 W. 90th Street, New York City. (The Volkswagen in question is registered to Micki McGee who is current common-law wife” of Jack Scott. Information related to this vehicle’s abandonment in connection with an insurance fraud scheme described by the source was verified. Jack Scott's rental of the cited apartment has been verified for the pertinent period. Other salient aspects of this point are under investigation?. S. Source advised that Jack Scott or Micki McGee wired him money through Western Union in Las Vegas on or about 6/28/74, from New York City. (Under investigation). 6. Source visited the above New York apartment and observed all of the individuals set out above including Patricia Hearst and Emily and William Harris during early July, 1974. (Source positively identified Emily Harris through a photo spread and was reasonably certain William Harris and Patricia Hearst were also present in this apartment at that time. Based on source's description of Patricia Hearst, an artist's conception was prepared reflecting same, copy - attached). - 7. Source advised he had been staying at the home of his parents in Las Vegas, Nevada, when Jack Scott arrived unexpectedly and had Patricia Hearst with him on 9/27/74. Source referred to a $1 million bank robbery which occurred in Reno, Nevada, that date to refresh his recollection. (Stated bank robbery verified). Jack Scott was driving rental van. {Rental verified). 8. Source advised Jack Scott revealed to him that “the Harrises and Hearst had been kept on a farm rented by Jack Scott near Honesdale, Pennsylvania. (Jack Scott's rental of Honesdale, Pennsylvania, farm cited has been verified. This farm site was processed by our Laboratory * and Identification Divisions on 2/7 ~- 9/75, and then Latent Fingerprint Examiners advised four latent impressions were positively identified as those of William Harris. ~~ 3- vo teins COTE a ES RTA ee ESOP ERR esa en See UL reer eT I RAN OE BT TO BEIT ETE TE A
