nylon core. On one end of Q4 is a loop lashed with brown
mariine twine and wrapped with 3/4" wide biack plastic tape. -
pecimen Q3 consists of a ‘segnent of braided white
nylon cord Shich is Like. the 04 cord with respect to color,.
diameter, construction and composition and could have come fron
as the Q4 cord. A loon also appears on one end
of the Q3 length of cord which is constructed in the same fashion
as the loop on 04 and with the same tye of marline tiine. ‘The
torn end of the piece of black plastic tape on specimen Q4 _
matches the torn en:l of the plece of biack plastic tape.on 93.
Accordingly, the tape on Q3 was once attached to and torn from
the te ape on the particular segment of cord in specimen Q4.
The second segment of cord in specimen 04 is 3/16"
diameter braided whit> nylon cord with a 4-ply nylon corye and is
not like the Q3 cord. A loop on one end of this segment of
cord is ‘constructed in a similar fashion as the loop on
specimen 03; however, black marline twine is used rather than |
