Such a democracy will find its first perfect manifestation in northwestern Europe, Switzerland, Australia, or Wew Zealand. Such a democracy cannot be safe until the capitalistic democracy of the United |. The reason why I am appealing particularly in Swedon to the non-bolligerent Right is because in the Scandinavian countries tho employors have given so many desonstrations of their understandiny and willingnoss to cooperate with trade unions and cooperatives in order to increase, the prosperity of the common people. I refuse to velieve that all people with mgncy want war with Russia. On the contrary I am certain that many wealthy business- men are convinced that it is. possiblo to work out a system for living at peace in the sametworld with a nonimperLalistic caplital- istic United States and a nonimperialistic commmistic Russia. The people of both countries desperately want peace , but the people une fortunately are being inflamed by propaganda. The leaders of both countries are certain that they can get advantages by pressure methods short of war. Unfortunately these pressure methods run the risk of war.
