of the matter in Chicago in order to learn of any partinent information.

copies of a report on an association which Colonel Howe had been interested in -
and this letter with the copies referred had been sent up to be mailed in ..

Brantley in care of Mr. Clegg and that he should have been addressed in care
of the Chief Clerk's office; that this last error had occurred in Mr.Hoover's
om office; and that Mr. Quinn should make arrangements to see that the mail
the future is sent up to Mr. Hoover in better form.
Mr. Hoover advised Mr. Tamm to watch things “closely and inform him
of any matters arising.
Mr. Tamm inquired if the Director would wish to send the Attormey
General or Nr. Stanley the material in the Shearer matter. Mr. Hoover advised
that he did not believe this should be done unless we were called upon to
advise them. .
Mr. Hoover stated that if noghing came up he would remain in New York .
for several more days.
