Re MARK ZBOROWSKI, SOBLE stated that in his letter to Soviets on 5/30/56, by "other people" he meant other G.P.U. agents. SOBIE stated he did not know 1f ZBOROWSKT Imew any other G.P.U. agents but just assumed he did and had not disclosed them when he testified before the Senate Internal Security Committee. SOBLE states that ZBOROWSKI's wife knew about ZBOROWSKI's activities in behalf of the Soviets but did not think she had engaged in activities for the Soviets. SOBLE related that he knew ‘that ZBOROWSKI's wife knew this because ZBOROWSKI had once told him this. SOBLE related that ZBOROWSKI's wife also knew SOBIE's true name as SOBLE had spoken to her on the phone on oceasion. SOBLE related that he could not recall where he had introduced ZBOROWSKI to CHOUNDENKO. SOBIE related that ZBQROWSKT bcd tole tiiny chet he had told him that he had known APHARASIEV;:a'GiP.Ucrageht in Paris in the early thirties.
