There is enclosed herewith a letter addressed to
Mr. HARRY L. MARTIN, dated July 24, 1929, and signed "Yours very
truly, THOMAS L. FANSLER."
This letter has been turned over to the Philadelpnia
Office by MARTIN, who stated that he found 1% during a review of
additional personal papers not located by him when he originally
artempted to locate correspondence possibly typed on the HISS type-
writer.
In view of the fact that the HISS appeal has not
been decided, it is thought that the Bureau may desira to compare
Gu emeneg eet letters with known specimens submitted by WHITTAKER
TAMEERS .
Should the enclosed letter be of no value, it is
requested that it be returned to the Philadelphia Office so that
it in turn may be given to Mr. MARTIN.
