He kept this up until 1921 incressing his business end meking coneidersble money. During 1921 he returned to Melrose Perk end formed @ liquor syndicate with a Roy, Deleno end George \Corere {not the Union men). Their territory wosl pert of Cook Comty end Kene County end they soon controlled the slki liquor and beer business in the sbove montioned territory. Stacey who controlled this syndicete sontimed the c | game until lete in 1925 or eorly in 1926 et which time A; Cepone hed teken over the eyndi cate in Chicago. Capone soon found thet this was ® lucretive territory, sent his men out, end told Stecey thet he wes going to teke over the territory but wes willing to put Stacey in es sforeasntioned mensger on e 10% cut. Stacey wes wise enough to give the territory upe This was the stert of his dowfell. Bis money soon went es he was e big spender. He did not take en interest in the business end the territory soon dwindled dow to nothing.
