Tn accordance with instructions from Special Agent Guinan of the
Chicago Division office that a memorandum be prepared for the Director in
thie matter, the following ie presented by this agent:
I wee advised at St. Paul to proceed to Chicago for purposes of
identification of VERNON MILLER and arrived in Chicago on the morning of
November lsat at 7:55 e.m.
After conference with Acting Speeiel agent in Charge D. 0. Smith
at the Chioago Division office, I proceeded as instrusted to the Sherone —
Apartment Hote], 4422 Sheridan Road, to apartment No. 207 where agents of
the Chisago office and police officers were stationed. Upon agent's arrival
at the apartment, the following persons were noted: Special Agente Guinan,
Medalea, Lockerman, Rice and W. 4. Suith, Mre. Madala, Mrs. Doris Rogers,
Sergeant Fremuth of the Chicago Detective Bureau, and tw cther police
officers, panes unknowm., .
Agent conferred with Special Agent Guinan and wes advined that
epartcent Ho. 211 was occupjed by a man believed to be VENIDN MILLER and @
woman believed to be VI
ment on the evening of October Slat and had deen greeted in the hell by one
BOBBY'¥OORE, who resides in epartment No, 101, and had proceeded immediately
to apertment Ho. 21); that persons in 207 had observed this man, who was
approximately of the same height and build as MILLER but was wearing @ brown
suit, brown overcoat, browm hat, end ea mustache and heavy horn-rimmed

It further appeared from information furnished to agent by Special
Agent Guinan of the Chicago office that MILLER hed arrived in @ 1932 Ford
ecross the street in ea parking lot and that agents of the Chicago office had
broken inte this ear and found e typewriter, some personal effects, and
eoverel cases of optician’s equipment and supplies bearing the name Greshan.
The automobile in question was pointed out to me from the window by Special
