by Mr. Norman A. Beck, whom he stetes is a very reputable lawyer with offices
at 2025 Conway Building, 111 West Washington Street, telephone, Central 5657, ~
home residence, 8157 South Leavitt, home phone, Beverly 4970, Chicago, Illinois,
Mr. Green informed me thet a client of Mr. Beck, namely, James EB. L.ffally- =. _
had secured information from certein individuals who were incarcerated in ~ .~.
the Cook County Jail at the time Hall was incarcerated there concerning the ~
location of approximately $400,000.00 worth oa Bonds which had been ~~
stolen from the Lincoln National Bank atfLincoln, Nebraska, and that he,
Hall, would furnish this information to this Division, hie main Purpose being,

Accordingly, Mr. Hall was interviewed by ‘spectel. Agent x. Re
McIntire at air. Beck's office, where it wee learned that Hell is « married :

Hall informed that he was incarcerated in the Cook county ea,
Chicago, Illinois, on a charge of obtaining money under false pretenses, |:
being in jail from October 16, 1935, to January 4, fooen that during his
incarceration he became acquainted with Bernard P,, Spangler and Thomas He “

partment for the theft of fonds from a United States mail carrier a year ,o
