Hightower which should be given careful consideration. With reference to the letter from tho Kansas City Office dated Fobrucry 7, 1934, outlining the investigation to be aade in conasction with the Kensss City Massecre case, under section one, it 16 noted that attention le being given to the "Curly® angle, Briefly, en individuel identified as "Curly® was seen to leave Chicago the day before the Kansas City shooting, according to information L 4 bd obtained a the Chicago Office froe a confidential informant named Three deye after the Kanses City abooting, Dr. Farr, so- conpsenied Eheriff Tom Bash to the Kansas City Office, and related bow an underworld character, whom he had known during the past fifteen years solely by the name of "Curly® had approached him in Cas Welch's place on 15th Street, between Troost and Foreat Avenues, and ssked hin if he wanted to aake some ready cash, and upon being . told thet he wae agreesble to the proposition “Curly” stated sone ’ gengeter in the city hed been wounded. Dr. Farr agreed to meet "Curly® later in Ces Velch*s place, but in the meantime reported the satter te Sheriff Bash and in turn to the Kansas City Office, where it was erranged that Dr. Farr should meet *Curly® and render the medical \.
