received a telegram from Kansas City, and upon receiving thie telegras

ashe to Kansas City, Inumediately upon making these telephone calle,
George Lindsey announced that he and his two sssoclates were going to
Fort Worth and Dallas, departing abont 6300 ofclocks that Lindsey and
hia associates returned to Chickashaln the morning of June 16, 1933,
between 12:00 and 2100 ofclocks that they slept all day and night;
that during thelr stay they requested a negro boy, who lives near ber,
to go to Chickasha and obtein all the pepers, and their conversation
seoned to center around the Kansae City Mossacre. a
Mrs. Dowmey*s statencnt is corroborated by @ mechanic at
Chickasha named Bob Bostwick, or Boston, in that he states that the
Cadillec Seden, driven by Lindsey, was equipped with puncture proof
tires, shstte: proof glass throughout, and made the atatement to Special
agent Birch thet "no damn machine-gun eould over have burt anybody
in thet car*.
An unsuccessful check wus made of the telephone calls
enonating from the McFerlend Hotel on the night of June 17th. - The
Gelahoma City letter simply sete this information forth for what it
is worth, It appears franthis letter that considerable additional ine —
vestigation should be conducted et Chickasha, relative to the above
facts.
Returning to the corroboration of the stetenent made by
Kathryn Kelly to Special Agent in Charge Lerson, reference is made to
a letter from the Chicego Office, dated November 13, 1933, addressed
to the Kanase City Office, reflecting an interview hed with Maxine
Miller, She was interviewed by Special Agent J. J. Keating, in epert-
ment 407, 1450 Sorth Dearborn Street, Chicago, Illinois, where she
was found to be resiging, end she stated that during the aonth of
April, 1933, she set a Mr. Bertin, who was a guest at the iushlebech
Hotels; thet she took this man to a gambling esteblisiment, operated
by Freddie Stross, of Hensas City, Missourls that he eleaned up the
dice geme with loaded dices thet becauce she vas a sporting wouan she
steyed with hia thet aight at the Btets Hotel; that on this occasion
