June 1, 1935 = to Hot Springs, Ark. = phone number LD12 to Dick Latius (Evidently Richard Tellman Galetas, Subject of thie case). June 16, 1933 - Suburben call to Overland Park, Kansas, Number 41l. The long distance telephone calle mentioned ebove have been previously investigeted. Subjects Herbert Allen Farmer and Esther Farmer denied, when interviewed, that they were at home when — the telephone calle of April 12th and 16th wore made at their house, having no other plausible explanation to offer. The telephone call to the Chevrolet Company at Leavenworth, Kanses, could not be verified as nO one there seemed to have any definite recollection of seme. It was ascertained, however, that in ll probability Miller had traded with that company. The telephone call to Jack Giyn, of Leavenworth, Kansas, was noted originally in thia investigation, Glyn is a close associate of all hoodluts and wae formerly Chief of Police at Leavenworth, Kansas. He "fronts" for the friends of the most notorious criminals who are in the United States Penitentiary at Leavenworth, and waa formerly able to arrenge interviews for such parties with prisoners until the Warden became suspicious of him and failed to show him any further courtesies. The telephone cell made to the Nicollet Hotel, Minneapolis, Minnesota, was investigated without definite reeulte. : As to the suburban cell made on June 16th to Overland Park 411, it wea escertained that this ie the number of the Milburn Golf Club, at which Liller ie said to have played golf a great deal. He is shown by the recorés of that golf courae, according to previous investigation mede by this office, to have played for the last time there June 12, 1932. A further cleck is being mede of the identities of all parties who might have been on the course when this telephone call was received on June 16th. It is indicated that the call was of five minute duration end wes made at 6:11 Poke & check of the calle from Overland Park 41] as of June 16th revsala that there were no long distance calle placed on that date, and suburban toll tickets show that the following Kanses City numbers were called:
