On 11/28/65, "Eathioon Crosby (9-44475), 915 Druid Circle,

Cnarlotte, N, C., rurnisned information concerning an GiivilyHivuse threat-
ening letter received by her prior to a rally which was scheduled to
be held at Ovens Auditorium, Charlotte, on that date, and in which she
planned to participate as a guest speaker. Mrs. Crosby advised that
the rally, which was to feature Roy Wilkins as the principal speaker,
was organized to cement race relations and counteract violence.
During the course of an interview on 11/29/65, Mrs. Crosby
indicated that she had addressed the above rally as planned. However,
no mention was made as to Wilkins' presence at this affair.

The 12/11/65 issue of "The Record," a Hackensack, N.J.,
newspaper, page 1, carried an article, with photograph, which disclose
that Roy Wilkins had delivered a speech at a Bergen County, N.J., NAAC
event, the 23rd Annual Founders Dinner, on 12/10/65, at Paramus, N.J.
Nicolas Kourambis, Vice-President of the Bergen County NAACP, appeared
in the photogra with Wilkins.
