6.1. ITADD, CMAS must:
6.1.1. Enable Sentinel search results to provide case numbers, names of case managers,
case squads, case access levels and full entity (i.e., all fields in the data structures)
information for restricted and prohibited cases in Sentinel associated with search terms
submitted into Sentinel for the case classifications provided for each group listed in Section
3, “Scope.”
6.1.2. Upon written request from the head of each group listed in the Section 3, “Scope,”
enable these search results for the Sentinel user(s) identified.
6.2. The groups listed in Section 3, “Scope,” must:
6.2.1. Provide CMAS with the official bureau names for any FBI personnel requiring case
numbers, names of case managers, and full entity information for restricted and prohibited
cases in Sentinel associated with search terms entered into Sentinel for the case
classifications provided for each group listed in Section 3, “Scope.”
6.2.2. Conduct such searches in accordance with established policies and procedures.

8.1. FBI personnel: any individual employed by, detailed to, or assigned to the FBI,
including members of the armed forces; an expert or a consultant to the FBI; an industrial
or commercial contractor, licensee, certificate holder, or grantee of the FBI, including all
subcontractors; a personal service contractor of the FBI; or any other category or person
who acts for, or on behalf of, the FBI, as determined by the FBI Director.
8.2. Sentinel: the FBI’s current central recordkeeping system. It is an automated system in
which nontransitory records are collected, organized, and categorized to facilitate their
retrieval, use, and disposition. Sentinel provides an electronic, workflow-based environment
for creating, collaborating, approving, and distributing FBI information. Sentinel provides
enhanced search and analysis capabilities and facilitates information sharing with law
enforcement (LE) and Intelligence Community (IC) members, including all DOJ components
and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).
