At Jophin we found Clyde Barrow, Bonnie Parker and a mn that I know as Jaok ©) Sherman, camping in the out-akirts of Joplin, Missouri at a = tourist camp, ani after a few days Bonnie and I went into Joplin and rented an apartment which ms located over e private Garages It wos here that I first saw the Brownie Automatic and the 45 Colt's automstics which we carried with us afterwards until they were taken from us by the Lown officers at Dexter sometime in Julys We stayed at this apartment in Joplin for approximately two weeks and one afternoon the officers surrounded us in this house and om en exchange of shots betwoen the officers and Clyde Barrow and Jack Sherman we escaped ina car.
