Im addition to the 4364 fingerprints, it should be stated
that several days subsequent to the bonus riots in Washington,
the United States Buresu of Investigation received fron the
Washington Police Departaent the fingerprints of 51 marchers
who had been srrasted by the Washington Polies Departaent. These
$1 names are not included among the 4344 previously mentioned,
A comparison of these fingerprints was msde with the records of
the United States Buresu of Investigation, which resulted ia ~
the disclosure that 17 of % these 51 individuals had prier police
records, divided as follows
Larceny
Military offenses
Asecult
Sex offenses
Disorderly and enCy
Felonies (unimown)
Forgery
Robbery
Liquor laws
Disaissed

It wee ascertained from the service brenches of the
government thst 16 of these 51 individuals, or 31,5%, had no
World War Service record, and were thas not entitled to bonus
certificates. :
)
Of this group of 51 persons arrested, 33-2/3% had prior
police records,
