The evidence for the existence of Ach inbody fluids Is tenuous since identification has been made only by Reineche precipitation which method only tests for quaternary nitrogen containing compounds. A few of the optically active acids which might be esterified with choline are lactic, pantothenic and as- corbic .acid;. These analogues of Ach are therefore in process of being synthesized to determine their pharmacodynamic effect.
