On Jamary 23, 1948, the Bureau and the New York and Kansas City
Offices were advised by teletype that the subject was to depart from Los
Angeles via Trans-World Airlines, Flight 12, for New York City, leaving Los
Angeles at 5:55 p.sm., January 26, and arriving in New York City at 0:50 a.m,
January 27, Une stop at Kansas City was to be made at 1:15 a.m. Kansas 7c
City was requested to verify the departure of the Subject. The above infar—

Passenger Service, Trans-World Airlines, Los Angeles.

that the Subject descended from the plane at Kansas City, went to the airport

afterngon of January 26 disclosed that the SISLER residence was visited by
$s BRIEL, who was driving a 1941 black Packard convertible coupe, 1947
California license 9 N 9368. This car arrived at 2:05 pem. and the woman
driving it,identified as SALKA VIERTEL, departed at 3:45 pem., that date.
SALKA VIERTEL has been reported previously in this investigation.
