Washington Highway/Rt. 1 in bIC Ashland, Va. Two black males deemed to be Malvo/Muhammad, were seen in the rear shower areas. The men wore dirty clothes and their body odor was “overpowering.” He actually thought they were homeless. The man thought to be Muhammad, seemed old enough to be the other’s (Malvo) father. The younger black male carried a back/day pack. Front desk personnel later told the source that the older males told them that one believed to be Muhammad said they were members of a YMCA in Washington and they sought this place to clean up. Muhammad also asked the clerks where the closest Catholic church was, Upon seeing the news photos of the pair, the source confirmed that these men were one and the same. : - Investigative Note: A white Chevy Camaro (MD was also seen in the church lot off and on over a six-seven week time span. On either 9/30/02 or 10/07/02, a Monday, the source left a note on this car for someone to identify themselves to church personnel. The vehicle never returned. The car info. The vehicle, with two black males inside, turned north onto Connecticut Avenue, stopping at the light at Veirs Mill Rd. The driver was seen to exit the car and walk to the rear. It appeared he was carrying a wrapped package under his arm. The passenger then exited and it appeared both men were doing something to the trunk lid. The driver pushed the passenger back in the direction of the front of the auto, while the driver continued to work the trunk lid. The driver finished at that location, got back in and drove onto Aspen Hill Rd. Descriptors: Driver appeared older than passenger, almost a father-son combination. He also wore a brown coat.
