New York City, and representing the National Hotel Operatore
dssoctatton, and Hoypgrd Jones, secretary, Counctl of Aleoholta
Beverage Industri@s. Jones, with whom I had a short conversation,
is ao former Repariment of Justice Attorney and was active tn the

| talks by these latter three men were in the form of assurances of
| ggoperation on the nart of the businesses they represented toward
the repression of prostitution. og
The final speaker on the program was Mr. Clewell Sykes,
Chief of the Taxicab Section of the Office of Defensa Transporta-
tion. Sykes gove a rather Clever talk explaining the operattone
' . gf Ate untt and inferring that 4% would be cooperative tn. the .
present program.
Dr. Hahn, who replaced Dr. Otis Anderson of the US Be
Public Health Service on this program, gave a short talk agatn
dealing with the plans of the Public Health Service tn the matter
of establishing centers for the treatment of venereal tnfection.
No substanttal claims were made by Br. Hahn that any of these —
centers were actually established and it was impossible to pather
from his talk any very substantial informatton.
